Sterilizing effect of electron beam and γ-rays on Zuogui powder

Abstract:

The sterilizing effect of electron beam and γ-rays on Zuogui powder was studied by measurement of survival microorganism. The D10 value of electron beam and γ-rays irradiation for aerobic bacterial count was 2.602 kGy and 2.597 kGy respectively compared to 3.112 kGy and 3.208 kGy for mould and yeasts. The results in the current study suggest that the sterilizing effect of electron beam and γ-rays on Zuogui powder will comply with D10 rules.
